About

Rosari Sarasvaty Posch was named after the Hindu goddess Sarasvati, the goddess of learning and the arts. Inspired by the meaning behind her name, she has devoted her life to the pursuit of education, creativity, and artistic expression.

In 2022, Rosari earned her Master of Arts in Teaching Dance in the Professions: American Ballet Theatre (ABT) Pedagogy from NYU Steinhardt. She is an ABT® Certified Teacher and served as a class assistant at the ABT Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School. She also completed the Dance Teacher Training Program at the Mark Morris Dance Center in 2020 and became a certified Pilates instructor through the Club Pilates Teacher Training Program in 2023. From 2020 to 2022, she studied American Modern Dance and Graham Technique at the Martha Graham School. Prior to pursuing dance full-time, Rosari practiced law after earning her Bachelor of Laws from Universitas Pelita Harapan in 2018 and her Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the University of Georgia in 2019.

As a dance educator, Rosari is passionate about nurturing the next generation of artists and leaders in the dance community. She is committed to providing comprehensive training that develops versatile, healthy dancers—both physically and mentally. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes strong technical foundations, creative exploration, critical thinking, and collaborative learning, while ensuring that every class is developmentally appropriate and rooted in the joy of movement.

Rosari has taught ballet, contemporary, and modern dance at a variety of institutions, including the ABT Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School, Mark Morris Dance Center, NYU Kaleidoscope, Notes in Motion, Gasper School of Dance, and Menari Dance Academy. Most recently, she served as the Children's Division Coordinator at Northern Plains Dance in North Dakota, where she developed innovative dance education programming, choreographed original works, and created performance opportunities for students across the Great Plains. Following her tenure at Northern Plains Dance, Rosari continues to expand her work as a dance educator, choreographer, and teaching artist, sharing her passion for movement and inspiring dancers of all ages to grow both inside and outside the studio.

In recognition of her artistic leadership, Rosari was selected as a 2024–2025 Midwest Fellow and is a 2026 recipient of a Dakota West Arts Council (DWAC) Individual Artist Grant. She is also an active arts advocate, serving on the boards of the Dakota West Arts Council (DWAC) and the North Dakota Asian-American Arts and Cultural Initiative (NDAAACI), where she supports initiatives that strengthen arts education, cultural exchange, and community engagement throughout North Dakota.
